Avery Dennsion’s Longford centre was earmarked for enhancing for some time and in 2020, working with Michael Fitzpatrick Architects and Adston Construction, the project came to fruition. Adston, as main contractors, completed the renovation and extension of the Longford base, with Avery Dennison now producing medical supplies on site in the state-of-the-art facility.
The Longford project included the complete removal of cladding from the main building and the recladding of the 2,000m² area. Adston also constructed a new 4,550m² extension which includes new offices and warehouse space. The works included a new services yard and extensive car parking space.
Avery Dennison is an important presence in Longford and the redevelopment of its facility shows confidence in the area and skills base in the region. The extended Longford centre increases capacity for manufacture of medical products and the building extension is designed to maximise its efficiency.
The completed building includes state of the art air filtration systems and a clean room for the production of medical products. All clean room and interlocking panels were produced off-site by Adston teams.
The enhancement of the Avery Dennison facility in Longford with increased medical manufacturing capabilities there, will play a major role in the continued success of the company in the midlands region and further afield.
