After a two-stage competitive tendering process, Adston was awarded this project by Longford Co Council. The works consisted of the construction of a new library on Main Street, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford.
The new building comprised a multi-purpose hall, offices, stores and a foyer/display area. The central hub of the library is divided by; young people/teenage, adult library spaces, a general reference area and a mini IT suite; also included were circulation areas and WC facilities on three floors. Stairs service all floors and lifts and are fully accessible. The structure included a complex mix of Insitu concrete, structural steel, and timber Glulam Beams.
