Adston were employed by a global pharmaceutical medical company, as main contractor for the renovation and extension of an industrial unit in the IDA Business Park, Ballinalee Road. Longford.
The works included the complete removal of cladding and subsequent recladding of the 2,000m2 building and the construction of a new 4550m2 extension, which includes offices, warehouse space, a services yard and car parking.
The completed building includes state of the art air filtration systems and a clean room for the production of pharmaceutical and medical products. All clean room and interlocking panels were produced off-site by Adston.
The building also has storage areas, mezzanines to house mechanical and electrical structures, an electrical substation and a water storage tank and pump house to service the fire sprinkler system.
The extension makes use of structural steel portal frames and a pile and ground beam solution was used to carry the overall frame.
