Adston built a new clubhouse and restaurant for Farnham Estate Golf Club, using traditional materials in a contemporary way. The single storey building is nestled into the Farnham landscape and complements existing and restored structures.
The project included the construction of a 356m2 single story golf clubhouse with a bar and dining area, pro shop, coffee area, changing rooms, showers and toilets. The main clubhouse dining area also looks out onto a paved patio, perfect for summer receptions and outside dining. It can also be accessed from the existing car park.
The overall project also included the change of use of an existing listed outbuilding, from ancillary hotel use to a new restaurant covering over 262m2 with internal and external modifications. Working with the protected structure, Adston built new external escape stairs and an extension connecting the building to the main hotel.
Works included building restoration, bespoke joinery and glass work and a range of detailed ironwork. The renovation and build also included a state of the art lighting and sound system. Adston completed the preservation, restoration and build project within six months.
