Opium, Wexford Street

Located on Wexford Street, Opium is an Asian-inspired restaurant, with a botanical garden smoking area and a Japanese themed nightclub expanding over three floors.

Adston acted as the Construction Manager for the project, this entailed complete project management from initial project concept design, appointment of the design consultants, compiling all tender documents, through to appointment of the sub-contractors. Once on site Adston was a project manager.

The design over three stories, incorporated five bars, a dining area and three smoking areas (two of which are new). Project features included a bespoke lift, retractable glazed roof, roof terrace smoking area, a new audio and visual experience in the nightclub section known as IRO.

The works also included a new mechanical and electrical system, fire, smoke alarm, mood lighting and sound system. Works were completed in a five-month period.
