Adston designed and built the Lidl Store including the loading bay, ramps and reinforced walls. The store was located within a residential/industrial area where there were restrictions on working hours.
The new build store consisted of raft slab, blockwork, concrete columns and steel rafters. The roof covering was Ondatherm composite panel with Alucobond wall cladding and render finish, as well as Shuco curtain walling system.
Internal fit out included partitions, a suspended grid, tile ceilings, plasterboard ceilings, plastering, taping and jointing, steel doors and frames, floor and wall tiling. As well as painting, cladding columns, kitchen, workstations, toilets, mechanical/electrical/ventilation installation and co-ordination and glazed screens with sliding doors.
Client direct trades were co-ordinated and managed in line with programme.
External works included an extensive floodlit paved car parking for 109 cars, tarmacadam access roads, kerbing, delivery ramp with retaining wall, fencing, retaining boundary walls, landscaping, drainage and services. Services connected to existing outside site boundaries and in public footpaths.
